Iced Christmas Pudding

This gorgeously rich and creamy ice-cream bombe is a proper festive treat!  Dried fruits are soaked in brandy before being made into ice-cream with double cream from our local dairy in neighbouring Stoke-St-Michael.  Being frozen, this serves well as a stand-by dessert, or equally, one that you stand at the freezer door and eat by the sneaky spoonful! (no judgement here!)  This comes in a lidded basin in which is should be stored until ready to serve.   Serves approx 8    NB: this dessert contains raw egg
